's michelle franzen joins me now from fairfield, connecticut, where jack pinto's funeral is now underway. michelle. >> well, that's exactly right, andrea. we are here in fairfield about 30 miles from sandy hook where noah posner's burial services are underway. they began about 1:00 today. it is that day, andrea, where we start saying good-bye to all those bright boys and girls, those faces and names that we have learned over the course of the last few days. again, you mentioned the first funerals and services. little noah was 6 years old. he is described by his uncle as smart as a whip, gentle, but having a ram bunkus streak. he leaves behind a twin sister, arielle who was in a separate class and made it out of that school on that day, and he said that his uncle said that noah considered arielle his best friend. they also have an older sister, 8-year-old sophie -- sophia, and the family members said they were all inaccept rabl during that time. in this area from fairfield, connecticut, back to newtown, jack pinto, also 6, his funeral also underway in the next few hours and afternoon. chi
's wednesday, december 18. i'm michelle griego. >> i'm brian hackney. frank is off this week. time now 6:30. >>> santa clara county firefighters made an unexpected discovery at the scene of a small fire a body. anne makovec joins from us campbell. >> reporter: firefighters have left the scene but there are still a lot of questions about a mysterious death. i'm in campbell. the storage unit was on fire and is around the corner from the building here behind me. here's a closer look at that unit. the fire broke out at 1:00 this morning. somebody reported smoke coming from the storage unit. they found a body inside the unit after they put out the small fire. they say the body is an adult. police won't say how the person died, if it was before or during the fire. they are calling it an undetermined death investigation not a murder investigation. >> at this point we don't have specific evidence to call it a homicide. obviously, we're looking at all the different possibilities and once we get all the questions answered we'll be able to better determine what happened here this morning. >> report

traffic and weather coming up. >>> i'm michelle griego. >> i'm frank mallicoat. it's almost 5:00. we have some developing news in brentwood. a mysterious gas leak has prompted the evacuation of a number of homes there. pg&e crews were called out to all brook drive around 6:00 last night when residents in the neighborhood reported a gas smell. crews detected elevated levels of natural gas near an underground transformer but the exact source of the leak is still under investigation. crews detected gas inside three nearby homes and evacuated residents as a precaution. allbrook drive is still shut down but officials say the leak doesn't appear to be spreading and more evacuations are not needed at this point. >>> reports of gas shut down a safeway store in daly city last night. but pg&e crews determined the strange odor was not natural gas. the source of the smell is still under investigation. >>> 5:00 now. the smell is what led to the discovery of a ghoulish plot up in the north bay. two people are under arrest for what was found in the backyard of a home on warren avenue. this is in vallejo
